An gem-set enameled gold heart-shaped frame, the strawberry red enamel heart set with the date 1897 in rose-cut diamonds upon a hexagonal tapering shaft painted with spiraling green enamel foliage against an opaque white enamel ground. When the shaft is depressed, the heart opens into a three-leaf clover. Each leaf is enameled green over a guilloche sunburst pattern and contains a diamond-set oval aperture framing miniatures of Tsar Nicholas II, Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna and their infant daughter Grand Duchess Olga - engraved signature K. Fabergé, height 3 1/4 inches closed (8.3 cm)
